Notes From Today's Lecture
Some observations I made from today's video of Martin Luther King's speech is that he seemed very confident and composed when giving out his speech. I also noticed he used pathos in order to appeal to the audience's emotions about the topic and problem at hand. His speech was about everyone, not just focusing on African Americans, but also the affects of the problem, which affects everyone. He talks about the problems black people have to face and how instead of just being so negative to each other, we should just try to solve the problem, not with violence, but with words and compromise. I think that's very inspirational because instead of fighting violence with violence, he told people we can use words to express our emotions and talk it out or at least peacefully protest. I personally think he's such a brave person for that, because if I was in his position, i'd want to take action, but instead he was the better person and tried to resolve the matter.
