In the book “Fahrenheit 451,” written by Ray Bradbury, it let’s us follow the life of Montag and how he comes into terms with himself and the type of society he is living in. The book later introduces us to Clarisse, a lively young teenager full of questions, whom later changes Montag’s view of life. He continues to observe and learn new things, with Clarisse’s help and later comes to realize that the world they live in is so cold and numb and immune to actual feeling and emotions. Technology plays a big role in the book’s society, it is used everywhere & depicted as cold, hard metal, such as the fireman’s metal dog. The technology is advanced, making people not actually communicate with each other, but instead relying on the technology for everything. The government in the book also plays a huge role as well, killing off anyone who even thinks for themselves, or talks with meaning.
